WAGO 221 Series Junction Box Connectors
Flexible, Fast and Secure
Open the lever, insert the conductor, and close the lever, the connection is complete. WAGO 221 Series connectors with lever technology enable fast, safe, and tool-free connection of solid, stranded, and fine-stranded conductors.
Available in various designs and models, the 221 Series offers a practical solution for a wide range of applications, supported by an extensive accessory portfolio.
Advantages
Two Sizes for All Conductor Types
With 2, 3 and 5-conductor variants, different conductor cross-sections can be connected easily. The new-generation connectors support fine-stranded conductors from 0.14 to 4 mm² and solid or stranded conductors from 0.2 to 4 mm² (24-12 AWG). The 6 mm² (10 AWG) version allows connections for all conductor types from 0.5 to 6 mm² (20-10 AWG).
Extremely Easy to Use
Designed for quick and effortless operation, the lever requires minimal force to open. Conductors can be connected in seconds without tools. Recessed grip areas on both sides ensure safe and comfortable handling during installation.
Dual Test Slots
Voltage testing can be performed from both sides, even when installed. Two test slots are available, one on the conductor entry side and one on the opposite side, allowing easy access after installation. All variants ensure secure contact with standard test probes.
Ideal for Distribution Cabinets
Mounting carriers are available for all 2, 3 and 5-conductor variants. These can be installed horizontally or vertically, mounted directly on DIN rails or fixed to flat surfaces with screws. Flexible mounting clips allow easy insertion and removal. Conductors can be connected before or after placement, while continuously accessible test slots support compliance with VDE requirements.
221 Series Connectors and Accessories
A) 10-conductor Lever Connector
The new double-deck 10-conductor connector enables tool-free connection of up to ten conductors at the same potential, maintaining the same performance and certification levels as 2, 3 and 5-conductor versions.
B) Green Range Lever Connector
Offering faster, easier and safer operation, this version is manufactured using bio-circular and recycled plastics, supporting resource efficiency and sustainability.
C) Double-deck Lever Connectors
Support all conductor types within the range of 0.14 to 6 mm² (24-10 AWG). Key features include ease of use, multiple variants and functional design.
D) Inline Lever Connector
Combines all conductor types in a single connection point while maintaining a slim and compact design. Optional adapters allow modular installation, enabling up to five fixed-position poles from a single adapter.
E) Junction Box
In applications where multiple cables converge, connections can become complex. When used with 221 Series connectors, the junction box allows connection of all conductor types up to 4 mm² (12 AWG), supporting up to 60 conductors within a single enclosure.
F) Gelbox
Provides IPX8 protection for splice connectors. Designed for fast and reliable use, it is available in six different sizes and is compatible with 221 Series connectors.
G) Bridging
The WAGO bridging system increases the number of connection points at the same potential. Up to eight connection points can be distributed via DIN rail adapters. Available with or without locking mechanisms, in blue and gray variants.
H) Mounting Carriers
Designed for distribution applications using 221 Series connectors. Color options (dark gray-yellow and blue) help distinguish neutral and PE conductors in control panels, enabling more organized installation, faster fault detection and easier maintenance.
I) 221 Series for Ex Applications
Developed for hazardous area applications, offering new design possibilities for junction boxes, terminal boxes, lighting systems and electronic equipment manufacturers.
